Kid Wonder Pty Limited (“Kidwonder” or “we”, “us”, or “our”) is dedicated to safeguarding privacy and managing personal information. The Privacy Act defines personal information as information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.

Kidwonder directly collects personal information from you or from third parties with your consent or as permitted by law. This can occur via phone, email, internal channels, including social networking interactions with Kidwonder, mobile applications, in-person interactions, written communications, or participation in Kidwonder surveys.

3. Type of Personal Information

The personal information that Kidwonder generally collects includes name, email, gender, postcode, postal address and contact numbers. When collecting information from a minor, parent or guardian consent is required. Additionally, we may collect any other information you provide to us or authorise us to collect during your interactions with Kidwonder. For instance, in certain circumstances, such as in recruitment processes, we may obtain further information about you from third parties whom you have nominated as referees. 

Close Circuit Television (CCTV) will be in operation on the premises of Kidwonder to ensure security and safety. CCTV footage may capture images and videos of individuals. Authorised personnel will have access to this footage, and it may be shared with law enforcement agencies when required. By visiting Kidwonder premises, you provide consent for your image to be captured and stored on CCTV in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

4.1 Kidwonder collects and utilises personal information in the following situations;

  • • Registration for Kidwonder events or programs;
  • • Processing payments when purchasing Kidwonder products and services;
  • • Subscription to Kidwonder newsletters, promotional materials or updates, with your consent;
  • • Application for Kidwonder memberships or partnerships;
  • • Donations, sponsorships, and other forms of support;
  • • Communication with you for requests regarding information, brochures and general enquiries;
  • • Venue hire and event arrangements;
  • • Recruitment processes, including volunteering;
  • • Reporting of incidents or accidents at Kidwonder facilities;
  • • Interaction with Kidwonder through its website, mobile applications, or social networking activities, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter (currently rebranding to X), and Instagram;
  • • Complying with legal obligations.

4.2 We may disclose your personal information to third parties, such as third party agents involved in ticket purchasing, to aid us in providing our services to you. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information and are prohibited from using it for any other purposes.

4.3 Kidwonder also collects and uses personal information for market research purposes, online service marketing, and to enhance and personalise the delivery of products and services to its customers.

4.4 Your personal information may be disclosed when required by law, in response to a court order or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.

5. Sensitive Information

Under the Privacy Act, sensitive information encompasses details or viewpoints concerning an individual’s health information or affiliation with a professional organisation. Kidwonder may gather health information with your consent if it is reasonably necessary to ensure your wellbeing, safety or accessibility while visiting the Kidwonder premises.

Kidwonder will only utilise sensitive information in the following circumstances:

  • • The initial objective for which it was required;
  • • A secondary objective that is directly associated with the primary purpose;
  • • With your consent;
  • • When compelled or permitted by law.

In order to protect your personal information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

9. Website and Social Media Interaction

9.1 Cookies:

Kidwonder may utilise online advertising platforms to display advertisements for current and upcoming shows or events. In order to tailor these ads based on users’ previous visits to the Kidwonder website, cookies are placed on users’ browsers. These cookies, along with web beacons, tracking pixels and measurement software, enable us to maintain the “state of a user session”, which involves remembering users’ identities from one page to another while providing requested information. The information collected may include frequency of site visits, visited pages, clicked links, geolocation data, browser and operating system details, and previous sites visited before reaching the Kidwonder website.

In the event of a data breach involving the unauthorised loss, use, or disclosure of your personal information, we will assess and respond in accordance with our applicable policies and procedures, which incorporate the requirements outlined in the Privacy Act. As required by the Privacy Act, we will notify you if your personal information is involved in an eligible data breach likely to result in serious harm. The notification will also include recommendations on steps you should take in response to the breach. Additionally, when mandated by law, we will notify the Office of Australian Information Commissioner of any eligible data breach.
